Elder P and I decided to be brave and go downtown yesterday by ourselves...first time. We found the right bus (big feat for us, remember we don't speak or read Espanol) that took us down to the main part of town and we walked all over, and even found the Mercado Centrial (our goal) by ourselves (sort-of, we had to ask directions, I fumbled around in my few words of Spanish and we got the general idea). The Mercado Centrial is in the middle of the city of Mendoza and it looks like just another door into a store, but when you go in, there is a whole mall inside with lots of little shops where they sell things like meat at one, veggies and fruit at another, spices and flour at another and fish at another, (if pigs hanging from their feet upside down makes you queasy, you might not like it), however, it's the best source for spices, whole wheat, fruit and vegetables, we even picked up some salmon there. And even more amazing we found our way back home without any problem, folks here are quite proud of us. Didn't take any picture, it's a little dangerous to flash camera's around too much, it gives someone ideas to pick your pocket.
Stephanie and Walter Nope had us over for a wonderful dinner after Church and now we will go rest until tomorrow. The day's been quiet, no phone calls from sick missionaries, I think that's a good sign.
